I took Kynlee in to the doc office to get weighted and I was expecting her to be at a chubby weight, but she wasn't she is 14 lbs 8 oz and the nurse said that's in the 10% so she is really under in weight and they are really concerned. She last got weight in July and she was 13lbs so she has only gained 1 lb and 8 oz in 2 1/2 months. The doc is going to call me and figure out what we need to be doing to get her weight up cuz I wasn't able to see the doc today only the nurse. She is under in her height too. I feed her tons I can't figure it out and like I said she looks chubby and healthy to me. She is very happy all the time she giggles and baby talks she rolls all over the place, she can sit all by herself, she eats cereal, baby food and loves juice. I have been trying to decide if I should stop breast feeding and just do formula I wonder if my milk doesn't have enough whatever she needs to gain enough weight. I'll see what the doc says and go from there but I just don't know what to do. I am worried about my baby girl and I feel like I'm doing something wrong I'm a bad mom :( Kynlee is 6 1/2 months old today! sept 18th

Hi Katie. Kim here. Thanks for visiting our blog. You shouldn't feel bad about your little girll. She is obviously just a petite girl. They were concerned about my little Elsie and her weight. She had to go through all kinds of blood work and stuff, no fun. I had to stick butter in all her her food and give her cream in everything. She is just a skinny minny. She was 2 in July and about 22 lbs. Don't get too concerned. It's not your fault.

Hi! you probably don't remember me....but I'm Chris Bruce's wife. Anyway, I came across your blog...what a cute little girl. Don't fret too much about what the dr and nurse has said. The dr's freak out because your child isn't on the all mighty curve. Not all babies grow the same. We have the other problem. Both my kids have big heads and of course then there goes the red light and they want to run tests etc. But both my kids are healthy and they come from a dad and grandpa with big heads. As long as your baby seems to be healthy (eats good, acts normal) I wouldn't worry. You're doing great!

Hey Katie! Thanks for visiting my blog. Your baby is a doll. I knew that you were pregnant the same time that I was, but I didn't know when your baby was born, so that is fun that they are so close. I haven't taken Avery for her 6 month check up, but I'm thinking she's gonna be on the bigger end of the spectrum. She has been from day one, but you know what you love them no matter what size they are right. So glad to hear from ya. Keep in touch!
